Interphase transition
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005982
A change in the physical state or structure of a material that occurs at the boundary between two distinct phases. This transition involves the rearrangement of atoms or molecules at the interface, leading to the formation of a new phase or the modification of an existing one. Such transitions are often observed in heterogeneous systems, like the solidification of a liquid at a solid surface.
