Surface of a phase
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011654
A mathematical surface that separates two homogeneous phases, representing the region where the properties of the system change abruptly. This idealized boundary is often used in theoretical treatments of interfacial phenomena. In reality, an interphase region exists where properties vary continuously between the bulk phases.
