Ladder chain
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006420
A polymer chain composed of recurring units, each of which is incorporated into two separate strands joined by covalent bonds at regular intervals. This structure forms a double-strand chain resembling a ladder. Such polymers exhibit enhanced thermal stability and mechanical strength compared to single-strand polymers.
