Levarterenol
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006539
A sympathomimetic catecholamine that functions as a neurotransmitter and hormone, also known as norepinephrine. It acts primarily on alpha-adrenergic receptors and to a lesser extent on beta-adrenergic receptors, causing vasoconstriction and an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. Levarterenol is used clinically as a vasopressor to treat acute hypotensive states.
