Adrenergic
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000277
Relating to nerve cells or receptors that use adrenaline (epinephrine) or noradrenaline (norepinephrine) as neurotransmitters. Adrenergic receptors are classified into alpha and beta subtypes, each mediating distinct physiological responses. These systems are part of the sympathetic nervous system, regulating functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, and bronchodilation.
