Β-adrenergic receptor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001095
A type of G protein-coupled receptor that binds to catecholamines such as adrenaline (epinephrine) and noradrenaline (norepinephrine). Activation of these receptors mediates physiological responses in the cardiovascular system, lungs, and other tissues. There are three main subtypes: β1, β2, and β3, each with distinct tissue distributions and pharmacological properties.
