Noradrenaline
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008065
A catecholamine that functions as both a hormone and a neurotransmitter in the body. It is synthesized from dopamine and released by the adrenal medulla and sympathetic nerve endings. Noradrenaline is involved in the 'fight or flight' response, increasing heart rate, blood pressure, and glucose release from energy stores.
