Lymphoid follicle
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006840
A spherical cluster of lymphocytes, primarily B cells, found within lymphoid organs such as lymph nodes and the spleen. These structures are sites of B cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation into plasma cells and memory cells. Secondary follicles contain a germinal center where B cells undergo affinity maturation.
