Magnetic mask
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006906
A mask whose pattern is made of a paramagnetic metal, used in magnetolithography to shape the magnetic field applied across a substrate, so that the mask pattern is transferred as a pattern of field strength at the surface. Photomasks, by contrast, pattern light, with opaque chromium features on a transparent fused silica plate.
