Mammary gland

An exocrine gland in mammals that produces milk to feed young offspring. These glands are present in both sexes but are fully developed and functional only in females after puberty and during lactation. The structure consists of a system of ducts and secretory lobules, with development and function regulated by hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, and prolactin.
