Maximum residue limit for veterinary drugs

The maximum concentration of residue resulting from the use of a veterinary drug that is legally permitted or recognized as acceptable in or on a food, animal feed, or other agricultural product. This limit is established to protect consumer health. It is expressed in units of mass per unit mass, such as milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg).
