Extraneous residue limit

The maximum concentration of a pesticide residue, resulting from its use on a commodity not intended for human or animal consumption, that is permitted in a food or feed commodity. This limit is established when the residue cannot be attributed to direct use of the pesticide on the commodity. It is expressed in milligrams of residue per kilogram of the commodity.
