Maximum tolerable concentration

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013266

The greatest concentration in water, air or soil at which none of the exposed test organisms die, written LC0. It is the upper end of the survivable range in a toxicity test and lies below the LC50, the concentration lethal to half of the test organisms. Sublethal harm can still occur at this level.
