Metabolite profiling
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013274
The systematic identification and quantification of a broad range of small-molecule metabolites present in a biological sample. This approach aims to capture a snapshot of the metabolic state of an organism, tissue, or cell under specific conditions. Techniques such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and mass spectrometry are commonly employed for this purpose.
