Metallo-supramolecular polymer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007256

A polymer formed through the reversible coordination of metal ions with specific ligands incorporated into polymer chains or monomers. These polymers are held together by non-covalent metal-ligand bonds, allowing for dynamic and self-healing properties. The metal centers can also impart specific electronic, optical, or catalytic functions to the material.
