Myasthenia

A condition of abnormal muscular weakness or fatigue. In toxicology, it describes a functional deficit that can result from exposure to certain neurotoxic agents that interfere with neuromuscular transmission. A well-known autoimmune form, myasthenia gravis, is caused by antibodies that block or destroy acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular junction.
