Acquired myasthenia gravis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000153

An autoimmune disorder characterized by muscle weakness and fatigue, resulting from antibodies targeting acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular junction. This leads to impaired signal transmission between nerves and muscles. The condition can affect muscles controlling eye movement, facial expression, swallowing, and breathing, with severity fluctuating over time.
