Myelosuppression

A reduction in the production of blood cells by the bone marrow, leading to decreased levels of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. This condition is a common side effect of chemotherapy and radiation therapy for cancer. It can increase the risk of infection, anemia, and bleeding.
