Nanoelectrospray

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007750

A low-flow-rate variant of electrospray ionization where the analyte solution is passed through a capillary tip with an inner diameter of less than 10 micrometers. It operates at flow rates in the nanoliter per minute range, producing smaller initial droplets and exhibiting greater tolerance to salts than conventional electrospray. This technique is particularly suited for analyzing very small sample volumes.
