Non-ideal chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008025
A chromatographic process in which the normal peak-broadening effects of finite column efficiency, such as axial dispersion and slow mass transfer, are present, as opposed to ideal chromatography, where they are taken as absent. Whether the isotherm is linear or non-linear is a separate matter, which gives the subtypes non-ideal linear and non-ideal non-linear chromatography.
