Normal-phase chromatography

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008078

A chromatographic separation mode that employs a polar stationary phase and a nonpolar mobile phase. Solutes are separated based on their polarity, with more polar compounds exhibiting stronger retention. This contrasts with reversed-phase chromatography, which uses a nonpolar stationary phase and a polar mobile phase.
