Normal region

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008074

The range of free energy change for an electron transfer reaction where the rate of electron transfer increases as the driving force (exergonicity) of the reaction increases. This behavior is predicted by Marcus theory for electron transfer. In this region, the activation energy decreases with increasing exergonicity.
