Marcus-Hush relationship
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006956
A theoretical framework that describes the rate of electron transfer reactions in terms of the reorganization energy and the driving force of the reaction. It predicts a parabolic dependence of the reaction rate on the free energy change. This relationship is a cornerstone of Marcus theory, which provides a quantitative description of electron transfer kinetics.
