Optical rotatory dispersion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008277
The phenomenon where the optical rotation of a chiral substance changes as a function of the wavelength of the incident polarized light. This technique is used to study the stereochemistry and conformational changes of molecules. It provides information about the absolute configuration of chiral compounds.
