Organophilic

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008321

Describing a substance or surface that has a strong affinity for organic, nonpolar solvents and molecules. Organophilic materials are typically nonpolar themselves and are readily wetted by or dissolved in hydrocarbons and other organic liquids.
