Parallel artificial liquid membrane extraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013371
A high-throughput extraction technique that uses an array of artificial liquid membranes to simultaneously extract analytes from multiple samples. Each membrane consists of a thin layer of organic solvent immobilized in the pores of a hydrophobic support, separating an aqueous donor phase from an aqueous acceptor phase. This method is often employed for sample preparation in bioanalysis.
