Peritectoid temperature
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008659
The specific temperature at which a peritectoid reaction occurs in a solid-state system. At this invariant temperature, two solid phases react upon cooling to form a third, different solid phase. This reaction is represented by a horizontal line on a phase diagram, indicating constant temperature during the transformation.
