Liquidus
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006700
A curve or surface on a phase diagram that defines the temperatures above which a given substance is completely liquid. Below this line, solid phases begin to appear upon cooling. For a multi-component system, the liquidus represents the boundary where the first solid phase starts to crystallize from the melt.
