Phase cycling
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008733
A technique in pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy where the phases of radiofrequency pulses and receiver detection are systematically varied in a sequence. This method is applied to suppress unwanted signals, such as those arising from instrumental imperfections or specific coherence pathways. A common phase cycle involves a four-step sequence to eliminate quadrature images and DC offsets.
