Pulsed-field gradient

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009678

A magnetic field gradient that is rapidly switched on and off during a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiment. This technique allows for the measurement of molecular diffusion coefficients and the suppression of unwanted signals. The strength and duration of the gradient pulses are precisely controlled.
