Photoactive compound
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013393
A substance that undergoes a chemical or physical change upon exposure to light, leading to a modification of its properties. In polymer science, these compounds are incorporated into materials to enable photolithographic patterning or to initiate polymerization reactions. They are a key component in photoresists used for microfabrication.
