Photothermography

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008936

A dry imaging process that uses light to initiate a chemical reaction, which is then amplified by heat to produce a visible image. In this method, a light-sensitive material is exposed to an image, creating a latent image, which is subsequently developed by heating the material. This technique avoids the need for wet chemical processing, making it suitable for applications such as medical imaging and graphic arts.
