Molecular image

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007498

A two- or three-dimensional representation of the spatial distribution of specific molecules or molecular fragments on a surface or within a sample. This image is generated by analytical techniques that provide spatially resolved chemical information. Techniques like secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) can produce molecular images.
