Polychromator
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009116
An optical instrument designed to simultaneously separate and detect multiple wavelengths of light from a single input beam. It typically employs a diffraction grating to disperse the light, and an array of detectors or exit slits to isolate specific spectral lines. Polychromators are widely used in atomic emission spectroscopy for rapid multi-element analysis.
