Polydiene
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009129
A polymer derived from the polymerization of diene monomers, which contain two carbon-carbon double bonds. The polymerization can occur through 1,2- or 1,4-addition, leading to different microstructures. Polydienes, such as polybutadiene and polyisoprene, are widely used as elastomers and in the production of synthetic rubbers.
