Primary-radical termination
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009453
The termination of a growing polymer chain by reaction with a primary radical, which is a radical derived directly from the initiator molecule. This process competes with chain propagation and can limit the molecular weight of the polymer formed. It is particularly relevant in systems with high initiator concentrations.
