Progressive systemic sclerosis

A chronic autoimmune disease characterized by widespread fibrosis of the skin and internal organs, as well as vascular abnormalities. It is a form of scleroderma where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues, leading to excessive collagen production. The disease can affect organs such as the lungs, heart, kidneys, and gastrointestinal tract.
