Prompt coincidence
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009538
The simultaneous detection of two or more radiation events that originate from the same nuclear decay or interaction within a very short time window. This temporal correlation indicates that the events are causally related. The time window for prompt coincidence is typically on the order of nanoseconds or picoseconds.
