Pubic symphysis

A cartilaginous joint located in the midline of the body, connecting the left and right pubic bones. This joint provides flexibility and stability to the pelvic girdle, allowing for slight movement. During pregnancy, hormonal changes can increase the laxity of the pubic symphysis, facilitating childbirth.
