Pyrexia
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009697
An elevation of core body temperature above the normal homeostatic range, also known as fever. This condition is a regulated response to pyrogens, which are fever-inducing substances that alter the thermoregulatory set point in the hypothalamus.
