Pyrogen test
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009703
A biological assay performed to detect the presence of pyrogenic substances in pharmaceutical products, medical devices, or other materials intended for parenteral administration. The test typically involves injecting a sample into rabbits and monitoring their body temperature for an increase.
