Reactive blending
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009976
A process of mixing two or more polymers or polymer precursors in the molten state, where chemical reactions occur between the components during the blending operation. These reactions can lead to the formation of block or graft copolymers, improving the compatibility and properties of the polymer blend. This technique is used to create novel polymeric materials with enhanced performance.
