Redox indicator
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010039
A substance that undergoes a distinct and reversible color change over a specific range of redox potentials. This change in color signals the equivalence point in a redox titration, where the analyte has been completely oxidized or reduced. The indicator's standard electrode potential must be close to the equivalence point potential of the titration for accurate results.
