RF-only quadrupole
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010333
A type of quadrupole mass filter operated solely with a radiofrequency (RF) voltage applied to its rods, without a superimposed direct current (DC) voltage. This configuration allows for the transmission of a broad range of ions, acting as an ion guide or collision cell rather than a mass filter. It is often used to transport ions between different stages of a mass spectrometer.
