Quadrupole time-of-flight

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009727

A hybrid mass spectrometry technique combining a quadrupole mass filter with a time-of-flight (TOF) mass analyzer. The quadrupole typically acts as a collision cell for fragmentation or as a pre-filter for ions, while the TOF section provides high-resolution mass analysis. This configuration offers both high mass accuracy and sensitivity, making it suitable for complex mixture analysis.
