Saprobien spectrum

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010518

A classification system used to assess the level of organic pollution in aquatic environments based on the presence and abundance of specific indicator organisms. Different species exhibit varying tolerances to organic loads, allowing for a biological assessment of water quality. This spectrum categorizes organisms into groups reflecting their preference for clean, moderately polluted, or heavily polluted waters.
