Scoliosis

A medical condition characterized by an abnormal lateral curvature of the spinal column, often accompanied by a rotation of the vertebrae. In developmental toxicology, it is considered a malformation that can result from prenatal exposure to certain chemical agents or teratogens. The severity of the curve is measured in degrees by the Cobb angle on an X-ray.
