Shell-crosslinked micelle

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010813

An aggregate formed by amphiphilic block copolymers in a selective solvent, where the outer shell of the micelle is chemically crosslinked. This crosslinking stabilizes the micelle structure, preventing its dissociation even upon changes in solvent conditions or concentration. These micelles exhibit enhanced stability compared to uncrosslinked micelles.
