Core-crosslinked micelle

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002582

A type of micelle formed by amphiphilic block copolymers where the core region, composed of the hydrophobic blocks, is chemically crosslinked. This crosslinking stabilizes the micellar structure, preventing its dissociation even upon dilution or changes in solvent conditions. The shell of the micelle remains uncrosslinked, providing solubility and interaction with the surrounding medium.
