Site-directed mutagenesis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010918
A molecular biology technique used to introduce specific, intentional changes to the DNA sequence of a gene at a predetermined location. This method allows researchers to alter individual amino acids in a protein, enabling the study of protein structure-function relationships. It is a powerful tool for protein engineering and understanding molecular targets.
